TSC has one sole purpose: to provide writers with a place where their stories can reach readers from all over, and we invite you to share:
- Works that have not been published or posted elsewhere before and can be published exclusively on TSC
- Well-written, tightly edited stories that will keep our readers engaged
- Gripping plot lines that make readers come back to see what you are writing next.
- Stories from writers with an online presence are ideal, but not a deal-breaker.
Yes absolutely! We accept your original articles/short stories/reviews/poems, the copyright to all your contributions on TSC remains owned by you. Of course, there may be specifically agreed upon exceptions, for contributions meant for promotional events or contests, as the case may be.
Please do NOT post or otherwise make available on TSC any material protected by copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights other than your own.
The Story Cabinet would like to mention that we don’t own any of your writings and neither would we want that in the future. We just want you to have a platform of yours where you have been connected from the very beginning. You have the right of choice of whether you would like to publish your writing here and then would want to republish it somewhere else or to republish your articles here.
Please ensure that your contributions are free of any copyright restrictions which do not allow you to publish them on TSC. We just want you to be the owner of the pieces you claim as yours or you publish.
TSC is in the process of building the platform and our technical team is continuously working together to get the platform presented before you as soon as possible. We are planning the platform launch in 6-8 weeks, and the creative content will be available in phases once the platform is in operation.
We are launching TSC with contents in Hindi and English, to begin with. Other regional languages will follow later.

When submitting your writing, you will be required to submit the following information
- Story
- Title
- Category (pick from the list given)
- Two-line synopsis
- Author
- A two-line bio
- Do not publish work which is grossly harmful, infringing, harassing, blasphemous defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically objectionable, disparaging, relating or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise unlawful in any manner whatsoever.
- We do not entertain work that is against the National interest.
- We do not publish work that can harm minors/minority groups/religious sentiments in any way.
- We do not publish stories that may either deceive or mislead a reader about the origin of the Content or communicate any information which is grossly offensive or menacing.
- TSC expects you to value different opinions and respect other users. We ask our readers and writers to engage with empathy, care, and respect. We protect the vulnerability of our users and their stories and expect the same from you. We expect your content to be non-controversial, free of any kind of violence, hate groups, or extremists content.
Yes! You are eligible to sign up as long as you are over the age of 13!
No! TSC is a free platform available to both readers and writers.
The Story Cabinet is a safe space where emerging writers can publish their stories without doubt, insecurity, or judgement, and reach out to a large like-minded audience, with ease.
Apart from the excitement of joining a new platform, where you can reap the advantages of being one of the initial contributors, you will also find that The Story Cabinet is different from all other platforms you have been to until now. TSC is working to enhance the user experience, through visuals, tags, and understanding user preferences, to ensure that your writing reaches the discerning reader for whom it is meant.
Moreover, TSC doesn’t bind you or stop you from joining other platforms, we shall endeavour to make TSC your preferred storytelling platform.
